In 2022, our establishment was awarded the “GREEN KEY” environmental label, a leading standard of excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainability in the tourism industry, which signifies the commitment of companies to adhere to the strict criteria set by the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).

WE CAN AFFORD TO DRINK WATER, BUT WE ARE MINDFUL OF OUR CONSUMPTION

On average, a person consumes 80 litres of drinking water a day to maintain a satisfactory quality of life. In Slovenia, we consume between 130 and 200 litres of drinking water per household member per day. Just one flush of the toilet uses between 2 and 8 litres of clean drinking water, while the average Slovenian household uses 6 litres of drinking water a day for cooking.

WE SEPARATE WASTE DILIGENTLY

Waste should always be disposed of in appropriate containers and never in the open air or down the drain. Carelessly disposed waste contaminates groundwater and other drinking water sources.

WE REDUCE THE USE OF PLASTICS

Plastics are a major threat – both to the environment and to people themselves. Every year, an individual in Slovenia uses between 100 and 300 plastic bags, which are only used for a few minutes to an hour. As the world produces more and more plastic – 6.4 million tonnes a year end up in the environment – the plastic particles and substances that enter animals' and our bodies have a major impact on the quality of our health.

TRY TO AVOID THE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC PRODUCTS.

WE TURN OFF THE LIGHTS CAREFULLY

We use energy saving/LED lamps. We turn off the lights when we don't need them. This helps to reduce electricity consumption and preserve the environment.

WE REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

Our holiday house has quality insulation and energy-saving windows. Close the doors and windows. This prevents the rooms from heating up in summer, so no additional cooling is needed. It effectively reduces our carbon footprint.

Our area is ideal for cycling and hiking. Every trip/visit you make by bike or on foot instead of by car is an environmentally friendly gesture. You can really feel it, smell it, hear it, open up to its locals, and connect with them more easily.

Hotels around the world use tonnes of detergent and millions of litres of water every day to wash towels and bed linen that have only been used once.

LINEN AND TOWELS ARE THEREFORE CHANGED EVERY TIME GUESTS CHANGE IN THE ROOM, OR ONLY IF YOU SPECIFICALLY REQUEST IT.
